Santa MissionAn introduction to Guyana’s pristine rainforest environment as well as interaction with Arawak Amerindians, one of the country’s nine known indigenous peoples, this tour commences with a bus journey from Georgetown to the Timehri docks.  From this point the visitor sets out on a fifteen mile open speedboat ride up the Kamuni Creek, a tributary of the Demerara River to Santa Mission a place affording splendid views of Rupununi savannah land.
You can also:

experience communities living in harmony with nature
visit Amerindian families engaged in the production of traditional art and crafts
witness a profusion of tropical orchids, aquarium fish; an infinite variety of birds and the occasional wild animal.
choose to spend some time swimming, fishing, canoeing, or hiking through forest trails
at15:00 hrs, after a memorable day, begin the return journey to the city.
